Table of Content Turning System ON and OFF Connecting a Device Need More Help? Turning System ON and OFF Turning ON Turn the TV ON via the remote control, or by pressing the POWER button on the bottom right of the monitor. If using the attached PC, make sure it is either behind or below the monitor and press ON. To switch between the PC and laptop sources, use the SOURCE button in the middle of the remote. The available sources are: PC - Classroom Computer Laptop - HDMI Connection Turning OFF *Please make sure to turn the system OFF before leaving the room. Turn the TV OFF via the remote control, or by pressing the POWER button on the bottom right of the monitor. Turn the PC OFF by shutting down the system or pressing the POWER button on the front of the box. Place the keyboard, mouse, and remote control on the table under the TV so it is available for the next user. Connecting a Device Personal Laptop To connect a laptop, plug the available HDMI cable into your laptop's corresponding port. If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, you may need an adapter. These are available to check out from the Media Tech Help Desk, located near the main doors of the University Library. Arch 132 Classroom Guide Technology Set-up: PC, Air Media, and Projector with Qsys Camera Table of Contents Turning System ON and OFF Connecting a Device AV Features Need Tech Help? Turning System ON and OFF To Turn On If the touch screen is black, tap it to turn it on. Tap the bottom of the screen to enter the system Select the source to turn on the projector and lower the screen. The available sources are: PC- Desktop PC Laptop VGA- VGA Connection Laptop HDMI -HDMI Connection BluRay - BluRay Discs AirMedia - Wireless Connection To Turn Off *Note: Please make sure to turn off the system before leaving the room. Press the exit button on the touch panel. When it asks if you are sure you would like to turn it off, select "yes." Connecting a Device Personal Laptop In this room there are VGA and HDMI cables. To select either connection, select the laptop source first and then the connection. Adapters are available for check out at the MediaTech desk, located by the main entrance of the University Library. AirMedia You can connect your device wirelessly through Airmedia. Select the AirMedia source on the touch panel. For laptops: Open your web browser and enter the URL within the parentheses at the top of the screen (10.103...) Download AirMedia for your system Next, enter the 4-digit code located at the upper-right corner of the screen. To disconnect, exit AirMedia on the laptop. For smart devices: Download the Creston AirMedia app to the device Open the app and enter the URL. Enter the 4-digit code to connect To disconnect, exit the AirMedia app. *Note: For iPads. an AirPlay prompt appears with instructions after entering the URL. AV Features Pic Mute If you need to mute the projection or blank the screen for a portion of the class, Image Mute is available. Press "Image Mute" on the touch panel. Press "Image Mute ON" to bring back the projection *Note: This only mutes the projection. The projector is still on. Need Tech Help? Turning System ON and OFF Turning ON Turn the projector ON by using the small Creston wall touch panel and pressing the POWER button on the lower right. Once you choose your desired source on the wall panel, the screen will come down and the projection will begin. The available sources are: Laptop - HDMI Connection AirMedia - Wireless Connection Turning OFF *Please turn off the system before leaving the classroom. Turn the projector OFF by using the small Creston wall touch panel and pressing the POWER button. Connecting a Device Personal Laptop To project using your laptop, use the available HDMI cable and plug it into the corresponding port. If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, you may borrow one from the Media Tech Help Desk, located near the main doors of the University Library. Select LAPTOP as your source on the wall panel. AirMedia To project using AirMedia, select the AIRMEDIA source on the wall panel. An IP address will display in the lower left hand corner of the projection ("10.103.___.___") Enter this into your web address bar of Chrome or Firefox. This will bring you to a page to download the AirMedia software. Once the software is downloaded and opened, a 4-digit code will appear on the projection. Type this number into the box that appears on your device. This will connect the device image and sound to the projector. *If using a Mac Laptop, follow the same directions. After downloading the software, the AirMedia with the corresponding room number will appear as a mirroring option. Select that to display your device. Need More Help? Table of Content Crestron Panel Instructions Crestron Features Connecting Personal Laptops Using Air Media Remote Learning Instructions Using Q-Sys Need Tech Help? Crestron Panel Instructions The room technology is controlled by a Crestron panel on the teacher's desk. There are sources for room computer, user laptop, and Air Media. Press your desired source to activate the TV monitor. Crestron Features The image mute button is available to hide the image from class. To raise or lower the volume, use the buttons on the right. To use the side monitor as a extra display, use the power button on the top right. It should default to the correct source. Connecting Personal Laptops Laptops are connected via the HDMI cable, which has a USB-C adapter attached to it for additional connectivity. Using Air Media To use wireless connection, select Air Media source on the touch panel. An IP address will be visible in the lower left hand corner of the TV monitor ("10.103.__.__"). Enter this number into the web address area of Chrome or Firefox on your device. This brings you to a page to download the Air Media software. Once the software is downloaded and opened, a 4-digit number will appear on the TV monitor. Enter this number into the box that pops up on your device. This connects the device image/sound to the projector. Remote Learning Instructions Using Q-Sys On the room PC, Zoom can be accessed via the desktop icon or via Bridges. Please log in through the Single Sign On (SSO) when using the icon. It uses your Microsoft credentials. The room camera can be controlled from the Camera Controls Button on the Crestron Panel. You can pan/tilt the camera, as well as zoom in/out. The USB cable coming out of the cubby can be plugged into the laptop to connect the camera and microphone to that device. In the Zoom Audio and Video settings, please make sure to select Echo Cancelling Speakerphone and Q-Sys Core 110f as the sources. Need Tech Help?
