Connecting a Device

Personal Laptop

  • To project using your laptop, use the available HDMI cable and plug it into the corresponding port.
  • If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, you may borrow one from the Media Tech Help Desk, located near the main doors of the University Library.
  • Select LAPTOP as your source on the wall panel.

AirMedia

  • To project using AirMedia, select the AIRMEDIA source on the wall panel.
  • An IP address will display in the lower left hand corner of the projection ("10.103.___.___")
  • Enter this into your web address bar of Chrome or Firefox. This will bring you to a page to download the AirMedia software.
  • Once the software is downloaded and opened,  a 4-digit code will appear on the projection. Type this number into the box that appears on your device. This will connect the device image and sound to the projector.

*If using a Mac Laptop, follow the same directions. After downloading the software, the AirMedia with the corresponding room number will appear as a mirroring option. Select that to display your device.
