Table of Content Turning System ON and OFF Connecting a Device AV Features Need More Help? Turning System ON and OFF To Turn On If the touch screen is Black tap it to turn it on. Tap the bottom of the screen to enter the system. Select Presentation to turn on the monitors. The available sources are: Laptop - HDMI & VGA Connection PC - Room Computer Doc Cam - Document Camera BluRay - BluRay & DVD Discs AirMedia - Wireless Connection To Turn Off *Note: Please make sure to turn off the system before leaving the room. Press the Exit button, and confirm the shut down by pressing Yes. Connecting a Device Personal Laptop There are VGA and HDMI cables in this room. To select either connection, you need to select the Laptop first, and then the connection. Adapters are available for check out at the Media Tech Desk, located by the main entrance of the University Library. AirMedia Select AirMedia on the control panel. On your device, open the web browser and enter the URL: 10.103.60.110 Then, click on the AirMedia download for your system. Next, enter the 4-digit code to complete the connections. It is located at the upper right corner of the TV. The code changes each time. *Note: For Apple Products, you will need to renter the URL for the IP/Hostname. To disconnect, exit the AirMedia app. AV Features Pic Mute If you need to blank the screen for a portion of the class, Image Mute is available under Room Options. Need More Help? AirMedia For AirMedia, open Chrome or Firefox and enter the AirMedia IP address (10.103._._) Select "AirMedia" on the control panel. From your web browser, download AirMedia for your device. Enter the 4-digit cod that pops up on the display. To end the connection, exit out of the app on your device. GSB Classroom Guide Technology Set-Up: Mounted TV Monitor (Displays A,B,C) and Poly Camera (on stand) Table of Contents Turn on the System Connecting to the System with HDMI Connecting to the System with AirMedia Presenting PowerPoint How to Disconnect Need Tech Help? Turn on the System To turn on the Monitors, press on the red "Power Button" at the top of the Samsung remote. Connecting to the System with HDMI Connect the HDMI Cable to the HDMI port below the Monitor you wish to display to. If the display isn't showing or does not duplicate the device screen, go into the device display settings (Windows: ⊞+P ; Mac: General Setting + Display) and change to Duplicate. Connecting to the System with AirMedia *If you are planning to display to more than one screen, please make sure that one of them has HDMI connection to the Personal Device. 1. Turn on the Monitor you wish to display to using AirMedia. If it doesn't automatically give you the Crestron AirMedia Screen, Select "Source" on the remote, select "AirMedia", and press Enter. 2. On your personal device, open up Chrome or Firefox and enter the Display screen's Crestron AirMedia IP Address located at the lower left hand corner of the TV monitor (“10.103.___.___”). This will bring you to the AirMedia Homepage. Select "Start Presenting". 3. Go to the bottom of the AirMedia information and select the link that reads "Want to connect with the AirMedia Application Instead?". This will bring you to another page where you can start the download of the application onto your device. *The download process only needs to occur the first time you are connecting to AirMedia. Once downloaded onto the device, you will not need to download again to connect. 4. Once the download has started, click on the option to "keep" when the file download bubble appears at the top right of the screen. 5. Once the download is finished, a pop up window for Crestron AirMedia will appear. Click on the blue "Agree" button to continue. This will bring you to the next page which will ask about "Session Delegation". Select "Ask me" and click on the blue "OK" button. 6. The Crestron AirMedia Application pop up will then ask for a four-digit Code to be typed in. The code will appear on the TV Monitor screen. 7. You will receive a Windows Firewall pop up after typing the code. Click on the "Allow Access" button at the bottom right of the pop up. 8. Congratulations! You are now successfully connected AirMedia. The Crestron AirMedia screen on your device will look as follows. Please make sure the Screen Sharing is set to "Primary". *If you have a mac laptop, follow the same directions. After downloading the software, the AirMedia with corresponding room number will appear as a "Mirroring Option". Select that to display your device. Presenting PowerPoint *The instructions below are an example of how to present a PowerPoint using multiple screens. 1. After having connected to the Monitor you wish to display to using AirMedia, open up PowerPoint on your personal device. 2. Once the PowerPoint has been opened and placed on "Slideshow", go to the "Display Settings" in the Presenter View on your Personal Device. The setting is located at the top of the view. A drop down menu will appear once clicked on. Click on the "Duplicate Slideshow" option. How to Disconnect 1. After you have finished using the room, disconnect AirMedia by going back to the Crestron AirMedia application pop up and clicking on "Disconnect". Once finished, it will say "Logged out" at the bottom of the screen. 2. Turn off the TV monitor using the "Power Off" button at the top of the Samsung Remote. Need Tech Help? Turning System ON and OFF To Turn On Point the Samsung remote towards to lower-right corner of the TV, and press the red POWER button. To change the source display, press the SOURCE button. Use the arrow buttons [◀▶] to select the source, then, press the ENTER button. The available sources are: Lenovo Computer - HDMI 1 Laptop Connection - HDMI 2 The computer is wall mounted behind the TV. To boot the computer, press the POWER button on the front of the PC. To Turn Off *Note: Please turn off the PC and TV before leaving. Return the remote to the table below the TV. The POWER OFF button is located in the top right corner of the remote Connecting a Device Personal Laptop To connect to your personal laptop, select HDMI 2 as your desired source. Plug the HDMI cable, found on the table, into your laptop. If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, adapters are available for checkout at the Media Tech Desk, located near the main door of the University Library. Need More Help?
