Quick Guide - GSB 104

Turn on the System

To Turn On

  • If the screen is "black," tap it to turn the screen on.
  • Tap the screen again to enter the system.
  • Select "presentations" to turn on the monitor(s).
  • The available sources are: 
    • PC- Desktop PC
    • Laptop - HDMI Connection
    • Laptop - VGA Connection
    • Doc Cam - Document Camera
    • BluRay Player - BluRay and DVD Discs
    • AirMedia - Wireless Connection

To Turn Off

 *Note: Please make sure to turn off the system before leaving the room.

  • Press the "EXIT" button on the top right corner of the touch screen.
  • When it asks if you are sure you would like to power the system down, press "YES."


Connecting a Device

Personal Laptop

  • For personal devices, plug in your device using the HDMI or VGA cable in the room.
  • You may need an adapter to connect the cable if your laptop does not have an HDMI port. You can borrow one from the Media Tech help desk, located on the first floor of the University Library. 

AirMedia

  • For AirMedia, open Chrome or Firefox and enter the AirMedia IP address (10.103._._) 

  • Select "AirMedia" on the control panel.
  • From your web browser, download AirMedia for your device.
  • Enter the 4-digit cod that pops up on the display.

To end the connection, exit out of the app on your device.


AV Mute

If you need to blank the screen for a portion of the class, Pic Mute is available under "Room Options."
 *Note: This only mutes the projection. The projector is still on.
