Table of Content Turning System ON and OFF Connecting a Device Using AirMedia Need More Help? CAS 121 Classroom Guide Technology Set-up: PC in room, Laptop connection, Sony Projector, Qsys Camera/Ceiling Mic Turning System ON and OFF The CAS rooms are controlled by Crestron panels on the teacher's desk. There are sources for room PC, laptops, document camera, Blu Ray, and Air Media. Press the RWU splash page and any source to activate the projector. To Turn On Press the ON button on the control panel. To change the source display, press the Source button. The available sources are: PC- Desktop PC Laptop HDMI -HDMI Connection Doc Cam - Document Camera BluRay - BluRay Discs AirMedia - Wireless Connection To Turn Off *Note: Please make sure to turn off the system before leaving the room. Press the OFF button on the control panel. Connecting a Device Personal Laptop Laptops are connected via the HDMI cable coming out of the cubby. The VGA cable can be used as a backup with a USB-C adapter. Playing a Disc To play a disc, use either the PC disc drive with VLC Media Player or the Sony BluRay player. Document Camera If using the document camera, make sure the power button is on and lit blue, in addition to selecting it as a source on the Creston panel. Using AirMedia Setting Up AirMedia To use a wireless connection, select the AirMedia source on the touch panel. An IP address will be visible in the upper left hand corner of the TV monitor ("10.103._._") Enter this number into the web address area of Chrome or Firefox on the device you are trying to connect. This will being you to a page to download the AirMedia software. Once the software is opened, enter the 4-digit number at the upper right hand corner of the projection into the box that pops up on your device. Turning System ON and OFF To Turn On Press the home screen and select a source to activate the projectors in the room. The available sources are: PC- Desktop PC Laptop HDMI- HDMI or HDMI to USB-C Connection AirMedia - Wireless Connection Then press "show on left projector" and "show on right projector" to have them display. Different sources can be shown on each projector if needed. To Turn Off *Note: Please make sure to turn off the system before leaving the room. Press the EXIT button in the upper right on the screen. When it asks if you are sure you want to shut down, select "yes." Connecting a Device Room PC To use the PC dedicated to the room, make sure it is plugged in and on. It will display when "Room Computer" is the selected source Personal Device To use your own laptop or other portable device, plug it into the HDMI cable and select "Faculty/User Laptop" as the source. If your device only has USB-C ports, you may need an adapter to use it with the HDMI connection. These are available at the MediaTech help desk. Using AirMedia Setting Up AirMedia To use the wireless connection, select the "AirMedia" source on the touch panel. An IP address will be visible in the lower left hand corner of the projection ("10.103._._") Enter this number into the web address area of Chrome or Firefox on the device you are connecting. This brings you to a page to download the AirMedia software. Once the software is downloaded and opened, a 4-digit number will appear on the projection. Enter this number into the box that pops up on your device. This connects the device image and sound to the monitor. *If you have a MAC laptop, follow the same directions. After downloading the software, the AirMedia with corresponding room number will appear as a mirroring option. Select that to display your device. Need More Help? Table of Content Using The Sharp Smart Board Mirroring Your Device Whiteboard Function Need More Help? Using The Sharp Smart Board To Turn On Please use the Sharp remote control. There is also a power button on the bottom of the monitor. Mirroring Your Device To Mirror Your Device Select "Bytello Share" in applications. You will need to download the latest version of the Bytello app onto your device, which you can search online. When you open the app on your device it will ask for the 6-character alphanumeric code that displays on the screen. After you enter the code, select "START" under screen share. On the Sharp screen, you must accept the incoming signal. Your device will then be mirrored to the screen. All computers in the room have Bytello Share. Whiteboard Function To Use as a Whiteboard Select the whiteboard app from the Sharp home screen. You can select various colors and sizes of drawing implements.
