Forums/ Creating Group Discussions
Please follow the instructions below to create group discussions using to Discussions Tool: 1. Click on "new topic" 2. Fill out the topic settings. 3. When you get to “Automatically Create Topics” in “settings”, select the radio button for “Automatically create multiple topics for groups". 4. Select your groups: 5. Select “save” 6. View your discussions that you’ve created. Permissions will be set such that only members of that group can participate. Taking a Forum out of Draft mode
When copying one course into another, Forums will always come over in Draft mode. In order for students to see the discussions, the forums need to be taken out of draft form and published. 1. Select Forum Settings next to the Forum that is in Draft mode. 2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Save. This will take the forum out of draft mode and students will be able to see the discussion. For further assistance, please email id@rwu.edu
