How to Copy an Assessment from One Course to Another
In Bridges, navigate to the course site that contains the assessment you want to copy. On the Tool Menu, click on Tests & Quizzes. Choose the Export option in the Actions drop-down menu for the draft assessment you want to copy. Note: You cannot duplicate published copies of assessments in Tests & Quizzes. If you have deleted the Draft version, it will still be in the Trash folder so it can be selected and restored. If this is the case, as the first step, please see this link for instructions on How to Restore a Deleted Assessment. Choose export type: Content Packaging. Click Export to save the exported test (or quiz) file to your local computer. Be sure to note the name of the exported file (it is often titled “exportAssessment.zip”) and note the location where you are saving the file. Navigate to the course site where you want to copy/import the test (or quiz). On the Tool Menu, click on Tests & Quizzes. At top, click on the Add tab; then click on Import (in the area to the right of the “Create from Scratch” section). Click Choose File to locate and select the file that you exported above. You should use the default choice “Export from this (or other Sakai) system”. Click Import. After a few seconds or processing, the test (or quiz) will appear as a Master. How to Restore a Deleted Assessment
In Bridges, navigate to the course site that contains the assessment you want to restore. On the Tool Menu, click on Tests & Quizzes. At top, click on the Trash tab. A list of all your deleted assessments in this site will appear. Select the check box for the assessment(s) you would like to restore. Click Restore. For further assistance, please email id@rwu.edu

How to edit a published assessment (after it has been taken)
There might be instances where the point values of a quiz are incorrect, or the answer is incorrect. In these instances, one can edit the actual assessment after it has been taken. You can edit the content of an assessment that has already been published. You can edit the content of a question or the point value of a question. You cannot add new questions or remove questions from a published assessment. Note: It is not recommended to modify an assessment while testing is in progress as it may cause loss of student data. Upon republishing an assessment that has already been taken do not check off "allow students to update their latest submission" as that will erase their work. How do I edit a published assessment? How to Add an Image to a Test or Quiz
How to Add and Image to a Test or Quiz in Bridges: 1. Navigate to the Home menu on your Bridges page: 2. Create a folder and upload your exam images: 3. Go into “edit details” at the folder level and make sure that your folder is publicly viewable, ensuring that any section can access it: 4. Go back into your course, and then navigate to your test or quiz. 5. Add a question to your test. 6. In the text box in the question editor, click Show Rich Text Editor: 7. Click on the image icon shown in the rich text editor box. 8. Click Browse Server. 9. Click on the Resources folder in your home directory and pull up your file. Bridges maps the images to your resources. 10. Click on the file you want to place. 11. Resize your image and click okay: 12. This is what the picture will look like, you can resize by right clicking on the image and then editing the image size: You can write your question in the text box as well. 13.
