Downloading Microsoft Applications Students have the ability to download Microsoft applications using their RWU Microsoft O365 account. To log into your Microsoft O365 account, please refer to Students New RWU O365 Accounts. 1. Once you have logged onto your RWU Microsoft O365 account, click on the Install Apps button on the right hand side. 2. Once clicked on, a drop down menu will appear. Select the option that reads Microsoft O365 Apps. 3. Once this has been selected, a file will automatically begin to download. After the file has finished downloading, click on it to open it. 4. When the file is selected to open, a message will appear on screen asking if you want this app to make changes to the device. Select yes. 5. The applications will begin to download. Once the download is finished, you will be able to access the applications and sign in using your Microsoft O365 account.

PDF Files Can Now Be Edited And Re-Saved In MS Word New features in both Microsoft Word 2013 and Adobe Acrobat Pro X allow users to easily convert pdf files into MS Word format for editing and then re-save them as pdf files. Here's how! 1. Open a .pdf file in Adobe Acrobat Pro X (note - this does not work in the free Reader version of Acrobat). 2. Choose File > Save As > Microsoft Word - Word Document (remember to note where you save the document). 3. Open the MS Word version of the document and make your changes. 4. Save the file so the changes made to the MS Word version of the document are retained. 5. Choose "Save As" - select PDF from the "File of Type" drop down options. This procedure will create two copies of the document. One version can be edited in MS Word and the other can be circulated as a PDF. The PDF version can be distributed and the MS Word version can be retained in case there are future changes to be made.

How to Use Outlook Inclusive Language Setting
RWU and RWU IT are committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Outlook offers support for Bias Free communication with their Grammar Settings to check language for Gender Neutral Language and other forms of Bias. This guide will help you turn on the Inclusive Language Settings. Office 2016: 1. Open the Outlook Desktop Application. 2. Create a New Email. 3. Type in the email body. Your text must include a typo. 4. Use the "Review Tab" to Select Spelling & Grammar Check. 5. Select the Options button on the Spelling & Grammar Check pop up. Note: Ensure that Check Grammar box is selected. 6. Select Grammar Settings. 7. Scroll to Inclusiveness Heading and Select the box for Gender Bias. Complete by Selecting Okay. Office 2023: 1. Open the Outlook Desktop Application. 2. Create a New Email. 3. Click on the Options tab. Select the Editor option. Once the pop up menu appears, select Editor Settings. 4. Scroll down until you come across the option for Inclusiveness. If you click on the drop down arrow beside the word Inclusiveness, you will be able to select what type of inclusiveness you would like Outlook to acknowledge (age, culture, gender, etc.)

Activate Microsoft License on Mac
University Faculty and Staff have access to Microsoft 0365 at email.rwu.edu. Students will sign up for a Microsoft Student Account to receive a student License for free. Complete these steps to create your account: Download Microsoft Office For Students Download the Office Applications via the web before completing these steps. 1. Open the Word Application. 2. Select Word from the Menu Bar located at the top of your mac monitor. 3. Select Activate Microsoft 365 to Activate all Microsoft Licenses. 4. Student Initial Login to O365: Configure MS Two-Factor Authentication As new users to Microsoft O365, there will be some steps that need to be taken before you are able to access your accounts. The biggest step needed to be taken before you are able to use your new account is to set up a Two-Factor Authentication. A Two-Factor Authentication is made to ensure that your account remains secure and is not being accessed by someone else. It protects all Microsoft applications related to your account, such as email and One Drive. Below are instructions on how to properly set up your Two-Factor Authentication and access your new Microsoft O365 account. 1. Navigate to email.rwu.edu. 2. Enter your RWU Microsoft O365 email address. *Your email address is comprised of your first initial of their first name + Last name + the 3 numbers assigned to you + followed by @students.rwu.edu . 3. Please enter your RWU Account password for you Microsoft account. *For more information on how to change your password, please see the Solutions Article for Update Password Instructions 4. Once you have signed in, Microsoft will prompt you to begin setting up Two-Factor Authentication. Click on "Next". 5. A mobile phone number is needed to set up the authentication. Please type in your mobile phone number into the field, and select "Text me a code". Then click on "Next". 6. Microsoft will send you a text with a verification code to confirm authentication. Please enter the code in the field, and click on "Next". 7. On your screen, you should now see a message confirming your phone has been successfully registered. Click “Next”. 8. The next screen confirms that authentication has complete. Please click “Done” to continue signing in to your Microsoft O365 account. 9. Please enter your RWU Microsoft O365 credentials. You will be asked if you would like to “Stay Signed In”. Once you choose whether or not you would like to remain signed in, the process of logging in will continue. 10. Congratulations! You have now successfully logged into your Microsoft O365 account.

How to Login to Office 365 on the Web
1. Navigate to email.rwu.edu . 2. Enter your rwu email address. Your email address is compromised of your first inital + last name, followed by @rwu.edu . 3. Enter your single sign on password. Note: If this is your first time signing in, use your default password. The default password is comprised of your initials lowercase (first, last) + last 4 SSN + RWU (uppercase). 4. Confirm your identity using MFA. Note: Some users will use Microsoft 2FA and some users will use Duo. 5. Once signed in, navigate the Office 365 applications on the vertical menu on the left.
