Changing Course Open Date in Brightspace

Courses in Brightspace open automatically to students one week (7 days) before the course start date.

If you would like to change this open date to open closer to the official start date you can do so by following these instructions:

1. In your course, select Course Admin

2. Select Course Offering Information

3. Scroll down until you see Start Date.

You can change the course start date to change when the course opens to students in Brightspace.

Please note that course access is available to students per policy 60 days after official course end date.
Please do not change the end date.

Click Save
