The File Upload function in D2L Brightspace supports up to 2GB per file. If the file is bigger than that, it cannot be uploaded to Brightspace. The recommendation is to keep the file under 1.5 GB for smoother upload. It is also recommended that the file name is fewer than 120 characters.
Understanding file size:
There are times when an error is generated indicating a file size is beyond the accepted limit - usually when that file size exceeds 2 GB. Here is a quick chart to help you figure out your file size - so anything over 1,024 MB is exceeding 1 GB. You can see the file size in your Windows File Manager using the List view or in Mac Finder - Documents.
