Quick Guide - SE201

Projector and Room Sources

This room is controlled by a Crestron panel on the teacher's desk. There are sources for room PC, laptop, document camera, Blu Ray, and Air Media. Press the RWU splash page and any source to activate the projector.

Laptops are connected via the HDMI cable coming out of the cubby.

The VGA cable can be used as a back up with USB-C adapter.

To play a disc, use either the PC disc drive with VLC Media Player, or the Sony Blu Ray player.

If using the document camera, make sure the power button is on and lit blue, in addition to selecting it as a source on the Crestron panel.

Wireless Connection Instructions

To use a wireless connection, select the Air Media source on the touch panel. An IP address will be visible in the upper left hand corner of the TV monitor ("10.103._."). Enter this number into the web address area of Chrome or Firefox on your device. This brings you to a page to download the Air Media software. Once the software is downloaded and opened, enter the 4-digit number at the upper right hand corner of the projection into the box that pops up on your device. This connects the device image/sound to the projector.

Please turn off the system when you are finished. The exit button is in the top right of the Crestron panel.

Remote Learning Instructions - Poly Cart

Some rooms on campus have Polycom units on carts for remote learning.

The camera works with a PC on the tray below the monitor. Make sure the power button has been pressed on the PC, and the TV monitor power has been turned on with the Samsung remote control.

On the PC, Zoom can be accessed via the desktop icon or via Bridges. Please log in through the Single Sign On (SSO) when using the icon. It uses your Microsoft credentials.

After opening a Zoom meeting, the Poly unit connects automatically. If not, go to Audio Settings in the lower left and select "Echo Cancelling Speakerphone (Polycom Studio)". We recommend doing a mic and speaker test via the Zoom settings.

Triangular Extension Mic Instructions

The triangular extension mic can be moved to the most effective area in the room. If the middle light is red, it is muted. Pressing it will unmute the mic.
