HUM 308 Technology Guide
Basic Controls:
Turn the System On/Off

Turn on: Tap “Touch here to begin.”
If the screen is blank, tap the screen once to wake it up.

Turn off: Tap Exit. Tap “Yes” to turn off the system.
Adjust the Sound

Use the up and down arrows to change the volume.

Tap Mute to turn all sound off.

Tap Mute Mics to turn off the microphones.
Hide the Screen

Tap Image Mute to make the projector screen go blank, without tuning the system off.
Use the Room PC

Tap “Room PC” on the touch screen.

Choose where you want it to display:
- Left projector
- Right projector
- Both projectors
You can show the Room PC on one or both screens, and the other screen can show something else (like your laptop or AirMedia) or be left off.
For video calls
- The camera and microphone are connected to the PC.

Set Camera to the room camera

Set Audio to “Echo Canceling Speakerphone”
Camera Controls

Tap Camera Controls to move or zoom the camera.
Save a camera preset
- Move the camera to the position you want.

Press and hold a Preset button for 3 seconds to save it.
Connecting a Laptop

Plug the HDMI cable into your laptop.

Use the USB-C adapter if needed.

Tap “Faculty/User Laptop” on the touch screen.

Choose where you want it to display:
- Left projector
- Right projector
- Both projectors
You can show the laptop on one or both screens, and the other screen can show something else (like the room PC or AirMedia) or be left off.
For video calls

Plug the USB cable into your laptop.

Set Camera to the “IOUSB”

Set Audio to “Echo Canceling Speakerphone”
Camera Controls

Tap Camera Controls to move or zoom the camera.

- Move the camera to the position you want.

Press and hold a Preset button for 3 seconds to save it.
AirMedia (Wireless Projection)

Tap “AirMedia” on the touch screen.

Choose where you want it to display:
- Left projector
- Right projector
- Both projectors
You can show AirMedia on one or both screens, and the other screen can show something else (like the room PC or your laptop), or be left off.
- Information on the screen will show you how to connect. Follow those steps.
Troubleshooting:
No Picture
- Tap the source (Room PC, Laptop, or AirMedia) again.

Make sure Image Mute is not turned on.

If using the Room PC, make sure it is turned on.

If using a laptop, check that the HDMI cable is fully plugged in, then select the laptop source again.
- Check the computer’s display settings.

Press the Windows key + P on your keyboard.
- A menu will appear on the right side of the screen.

Select Duplicate.
-
Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner.
-
Click System Settings.
-
Click Displays.
-
Turn on Mirror Displays.
No Camera or Microphone
-
In Zoom or Teams, check the meeting settings and make sure the Camera and Microphone are set correctly.
No Sound

Make sure the system is not muted on the touch screen.

Check the volume settings on the computer.
