Turning System ON and OFF

Turning ON

  • Turn the TV ON via the remote control, or by pressing the POWER button on the bottom right of the monitor.
  • If using the attached PC, make sure it is either behind or below the monitor and press ON.
  • To switch between the PC and laptop sources, use the SOURCE button in the middle of the remote.
  • The available sources are:
    • PC - Classroom Computer
    • Laptop - HDMI Connection

Turning OFF

*Please make sure to turn the system OFF before leaving the room.

  • Turn the TV OFF via the remote control, or by pressing the POWER button on the bottom right of the monitor.
  • Turn the PC OFF by shutting down the system or pressing the POWER button on the front of the box.
  • Place the keyboard, mouse, and remote control on the table under the TV so it is available for the next user.

Connecting a Device

Personal Laptop

  • To connect a laptop, plug the available HDMI cable into your laptop's corresponding port.
  • If your laptop does not have an HDMI port, you may need an adapter. These are available to check out from the Media Tech Help Desk, located near the main doors of the University Library.

  • Make sure to switch the source on the TV to HDMI to display your laptop via the remote control.
