Hybrid Classroom Camera and Microphone Controls Via Desktop Application Instructions (Rooms without Crestron Touchpanels)
Camera Control via Desktop Application
Room PC
1. Check to make sure computer is on.
- Check inside the desk cabinet or on the desk – PC power button is labeled.
2. Turn the system "ON"
- On Touch Panel: Select, “PC.”
3. On the PC: Open your streaming program (Zoom via Bridges or Zoom via the Zoom App).
4. Select the appropriate meeting.
5. If prompted, join meeting with Computer Audio. The Camera will connect automatically.
6. On the Room PC Desktop, open the, “Camera Controls” Application. It may also be called "Q-Sys UCI Viewer"
- You will see arrows and zoom in/out buttons to adjust the camera angle, as well as 6 presets for the classroom to choose from.
- Adjust at your leisure.
Laptop Connection
1. Connect HDMI, USB, and Ethernet cables to laptop.
2. On Touch Pad: Touch Screen to Start
- On the Touchpad: Select, “Laptop” icon.
- On the Touchpad: Select “HDMI” icon. If you are in GHH, press the "PC" button.
3. On the Laptop, open your streaming program: Zoom via Bridges, or Zoom via the Zoom App.
4. Open your Zoom meeting.
- If prompted, select “Join with Computer Audio”
- To select a microphone, select the, “Up Arrow” icon next to the Mute button.
- Click on the, “IOUSB” Microphone.
- To select the classroom camera, select the, “Up arrow” icon next to the Stop Video button.
- Click on the, “IOUSB” Camera.
5. On the Room PC Desktop, open the, “Camera Controls” Application.
- You will see arrows and zoom in/out buttons to adjust the camera angle, as well as 6 presets for the classroom to choose from.
- Adjust at your leisure.
